Norma from PinkBlingCrafter sent this for my Birthday! Isn't she the sweetest!!!
Thank you Norma so much!  You are such a good
friend and I can't tell you what a sweet surprise this was.  Smiling from ear to ear!!

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Thank you for joining us today for another fun challenge at Fantabulous Cricut.  This week the challenge is to use a cartridge that you have forgotten all about.  To use a cartridge that you haven't used in over 6 months.

Well, this was not very hard for me at all.  If you are like me, you probably buy stuff all the time and don't have the time to use everything.  I bought the Sweet Treats cart over 6 months ago, and until now had never even opened it!! I know....it's pretty sad.  So I decided to make a birthday card for my mom who turned 59 on the 20th.  Happy Birthday Mom!! Hope you like it...

The card, the sentiment and the 59 were all cut with Sweet Treats.
I used Sizzix Baby Daisy Texturz for the embossing.
I added stickles for the flames (maybe I should have used red?)

The flower is a mix of Prima and Recollections. 

What a great challenge to make you pull out those poor forgotten carts! Also, don't forget to head on over to FCCB to check out all of the fun projects from our amazing and talented designers.  Can't wait to see what you create!

Thank you for joining us again this week for another Companion Challenge hosted by the sweet and talented Cristina of Crafting with Cristina.

For this week's challenge, you are to make any project you choose but only use the colors black, white, and grey.  I made this card for a friend's daughter who is going to be turning 18.  Wow, I wish I could be 18 again!! lol
Here's my take....

All of the paper I used is DCWV.
I used Robotz cart to cut out the 18. 

The cute flower is from Prima.
I used Cuttlebug D'vine Swirls for the embossing. 

The sentiment is from Inkadinkado.
The lit' stars were cut with Create A Critter cart and also
added some bling to them.

Dave's 40th Birthday!!

Happy Friday Again Everyone!
This is my second post for the day, so make sure you scroll down to find my Flaunt It Fridays post!

Our friend Dave is celebrating his 40th birthday tomorrow and I made this card for him. I also noticed I could enter it in several challenges....Nice!! I love when that happens!! lol. Enjoy guys!!

This cute digi is from JustInkLined. I hadn't used digi's or copics in a while so it was fun making this.
The Happy Birthday stamp is from TPC Studios and the You Old dog is computer generated.
I used Christmas Cards to cut out the card and added just a little bit of Baker's twine.  I also used my Baby Geo Sizzix Texturz to do the embossing. I was trying really hard to hold back on the embellishing because it is for a 40 year old man. Have to keep it "manly".

TGIF Everyone!!!

Thank you for joining us for another Flaunt It Fridays Challenge!  This week the cut we are using is from Mini Monsters cart and it is the Skull on page 65.  Now you are to make anything as long as its NOT a Halloween theme!! Yeah, the girls at FIF don't want to make it that easy! lol

I made this Valentine's Card for my hubby.  Now I will admit it is a little on the dark, creepy, kind of stalker side, but I think it's very cute! My husband got a kick out of it and agreed it is totally US!! lol

The card was cut with Christmas Cards Cart.
The hearts are from DoodleCharms.
The frame in the middle is StretchYourImagination.

The tags are cut with Tags,Bags,Boxes & More
Both sentiments are cut with Robotz.

So what do you guys think? Do I need a little help in the mental dept??

Fantabulous Cricut #42 Winter Warmies

Hey friends, 

So happy that you've joined me today. For this weeks challenge at Fantabulous Cricut, you are  

to use some type of winter clothing or accessory on your project.

For my project, I made a layout.  Layouts are my first love! This is what I started out making and then went onto cards and crafts.  My other love are digital layouts. Most recently, I have combined the two to make a hybrid layout.  I feel like I get the best of both worlds by using the digital technique and then adding the traditional technique of scrapping!!

First, I start off by printing my pictures on my 12x12 photo paper with the background colors/pattern

that I want to use.  The program that I like to use, which is super easy is ArcSoft Print Creations.  As you can see it is very plain with no titles or embellishments.

Then comes the fun part.  I get to embellish it and dress it up just like any traditional

scrapbook layout.  It really is super easy to do.  I really like that I can do more with my pictures this way by cropping, resizing and using different types of borders.

I cut the him using Simply Charmed.  

Also used PKS stamp (Happy Lashes), blue stickles and white gel pen.

I cut the mittens with Simply Charmed as well.

The letters were cut with Disney Pooh Font.

This is such a fun technique.  If anyone wants to know more let me know!

I hope you guys are all having a great weekend so far.  It is actually 1am right now.  I got started on this card and before I knew it, it is super late. I'm planning on going to Micheal's early in the morning to try and get some $9.99 Cricut Carts so I should be going to bed soon.  By the way, wish me luck tomorrow! I hope its not too bad!

I made this card for a few challenges.  So happy to see all the new 2011 challenges posted this week.

I cut my cute lit' pup with SweetHearts cart.
The scalloped circles were cut with Gypsy Wanderings.
The ribbon is Celebrate It from Micheal's.
It's hard to see, but the bg paper is embossed with
Sizzix hearts folder.

Cut the bone out with Create A Critter.
The stamped sentiment is by Heidi Grace.
The sentiment in the bone, I wrote with gel pens
and Disney Pooh Font & Calligraphy Coll. Carts.
I also used my PKS stamps for his face.

1. I am such a perfectionist!! Sometimes the easiest project will take longer because I just won't settle for   ok.
2. I was crazy enough to go on the show WIPEOUT!! My kids love that show and kept asking me to go, so I did!! Fun and certainly very challenging, but so worth it.  My time in the first round was 5min2sec.
3. If I could go back 15 years, I would have taken up boxing, wrestling, and martial arts.  I would love to be able to fight in a UFC match!!!

I can't tell you how excited and honored I am to be joining the Flaunt It Friday's Design Team and to be joining them today for this fun and inspiring blog hop.  All of these talented and amazing ladies have made some amazing projects for you.  For this week's challenge we were asked to flaunt the Hello Kitty with Airplane on page 65 from the Hello Kitty Greetings cart. 

For my project, I made a picture frame for my niece who is also my goddaughter! Since I have 3 boys, I rarely get a chance to make girlie things, so I can't tell you how much fun it was to dig into all the pink and purple!!  So here is my 1st project.....

The background paper is from Heidi Grace Designs.
The cute lit' flowers are from PaperTrayInk.

Isn't my goddaughter the cutest?? 

I just love her!!!

I cut out the name using the Robotz cart. I just love this font.
The butterfly I cut using my MarvyUchida punch.
The purple butterly and pink flowers are rub-ons.

And of course I cut out my cute plane and HelloKitty using the
HelloKitty Greetings cart!!  Isn't she cute?
The little swirly thing on the end and the stars are also rub-ons.
I also added some stickles to her bow for a little more glitz.

Now for our second project, we got to choose any cut from the Hello Kitty Greetings cart and I chose to make these cute little binder clips.  

Aren't these just adorable?  Perfect for Valentine's too!!

I'm going to give these to my younger boys' teachers with a card and some 

candy for their Valentine's Celebration at school.

This cut is HK9 and can be found on page 49.

This cut is HK10 and can be found on page 50.

So these were my first two projects as a Flaunt It Friday's Girl!  I hope you guys liked them and have been inspired as well.
