Dia de Reyes Blog Hop

Hi Everyone,

to start from the beginning.

January 6th is a very special day in the Latin World.  It is a very special day for me as well because my son Danny (my 1st born) was delivered on this special day 14 years ago!! Wow, I cannot believe my oldest turned 14 today!!  Happy Birthday Danny!!

For my project I made this layout.  I love making layouts!  It's what I started out making and then jumped into cards and crafts.  The other thing I like making are digital layouts.  Just recently I started combining both digital and traditional scrapbooking to make a hybrid layout.

I started off by printing my pictures on my 12x12 photo paper with the background that I want to use.

The program I like to use is Arcsoft Print Creations.

As you can see, it is very plain with no titles or embellishments.

Another great thing about this is you can crop, resize and add any kind of border to

your pictures to get them just perfect.

Next comes the fun part!  I get to embellish my page with the traditional technique of scrapping.

Just like any traditional layout, you add anything you like to it...titles, die cuts, journaling, flowers, etc.

I cut the title using Calligraphy Collection (the, gift) and Robots (Perfect).

The flowers are Prima and Recollections.

My 3 Wise Men are cut using my Imagine and Winter Frolic cart.

Added some Stickles here and there for a little bit of bling.

I cut the tag with Tags, Bags,Boxes and More cart.

The journaling is computer generated.

For your next stop, you will be hopping over to the amazing Jessica.  Go check out her amazing project for more inspiration.

My word for Gaby's Grand Prize is  STOP.

Now, if you are looking for some blog candy, you have come to the right place!

I will be giving away a Designer's Calendar Cart to one lucky follower!!

All you need to do is leave me a comment and you must be a follower! Easy peasy!! (must have a US shipping address).

I will announce the winner using Random.org on Tuesday morning, January 11th (one entry per person).

Good luck to Everyone and thank you so much for stopping by!!

Crafting with Cristina's Companion Challenge #14 Resolutions & Memories

Hey Everyone,

Thanks so much for joining us today for another Companion Challenge hosted by the super talented Cristina of Crafting with Cristina.

This is my first challenge with her since joining her new Companion Challenge Design Team!! I'm as so excited to be here today and designing for her!!

For this week's challenge, you are to make a layout of your 2011 New Year's Resolutions or a page about your past special memories.  In other words, a page about your life, things you want to accomplish or have accomplished.

So for my page I decided to make it about my top 5 sweet moments of 2010!!  These are very special and some were a huge personal accomplishment (making it onto WipeOut)!!!

I used my Imagine Yummy cart for the background paper.

I used several carts for the title since it's all mixed....
Disney Pooh Font (5,memories, 2010), Creat A Critter (Sweet), Office Help (Summer & Stars),
Designer's Cal (Vacation). Whew, I think I got them all.
Also, used Gypsy Wandering for the scalloped circle.

I used Alphalicious for "made it on wipeout" using the gel pens.

Be sure to head on over to Crafting with Cristina to enter your layouts and a chance to win some great prizes!!

Good Luck Everyone!!

My friends' daughter who is 12, is at a 2 week cooking/baking program during the Winter Break.  She is having a blast and so I decided to make her this cookie mix so she can make once she's home.  I thought this tag would go perfect with it and I get to enter it in the Flaunt It Fridays' Create A Critter Turtle Challenge!

The turtle, the sentiment and the grass were all cut with
Create A Critter.
The tag was cut with Tags,Bags & More.

Of course I used my cute PKS stamp for the face.

The mix is to make Cowboy Cookies which I found on a website.
If anyone wants the recipe let me know.

I can't wait to give this to her!
