I'm a Guest Designer at Momo's!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!!
I am so excited!!! I am such a fan of Mari at Made by Momo and she has been such an inspiration for me.  I haven't been blogging very long and she was one of the first ones I came across and instantly fell in love with her work, her videos, and her challenges!! She is just amazing, but i'm sure you all know this already.  So when she asked me if I could be a Guest Designer for her challenge this week.....well I just about DIED!!!

So for her challenge this week, she asked me to make a treat box.....

I used Create A Critter to cut out the reindeer and used Stickles on his nose and scarf.

Isn't this cute??  I came across the box on Cricut Chick when she made the cutest box for a baby shower.
So when Momo asked me, I knew exactly what box I wanted to make. Cricut Chick has the best video tutorial on how to make it, so definitely go on over and check it out.

I used Christmas Cheer to cut out the "hohoho" and stocking
on the green card.  Used a white gel pen for the doodling.

This card was also cut with Christmas Cheer and the sentiment was cut using Pooh Font Set.

Cardstock: DCWV The Christmas Stack
DCWV The Christmas Cardstock Stack

I cut Santa using Simply Charmed and used Stickles on his beard.

Picked out 5 different types of wired ribbon, Christmas ribbon of course.
Challenges:

This was such a fun project to make and the best thing is you can make it for any occasion. Thank you Cricut Chick!!

Hope you guys like it and good luck to everyone on Momo's Challenge!!

It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas!!

Wow, I can't believe Thanksgiving has passed us by. It's all just a blur.  Many of my neighbors put their Christmas lights up already. Amazing!! I think I will have my husband put ours up tomorrow. Not like he really wants to watch Football right? lol.  Seriously, it is looking like Christmas all around.  I just need to remember to stop and take it all in before Christmas is a blur too.

Ok, so I started this card last night.  Finally had a chance to finish tonight.  Hope you like it.

This cute digi is from MelJen's Designs.
Colored with Copics.
I added a little bit of Stickles to give it a little bling.
Card stock is from DCWV Winter Wonder Stack
The sentiment is computer generated.
My buttons are from Recollections.
And the embossing I made with my Sizzix Texture Plates.
Not too thrilled about the lighting in the picture.
I think I'm going to work on making a light box.
I just need to remember who had the tutorials...

This picture is to show my pop ups which are called for in Gigi's Challenge.

Happy Thursday Everyone.
It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is only 1 week away! Amazing how time just flies by.  And in the spirit of Thanksgiving, here is a card I made.  I kept it nice and simple.  Hope you like it.

The patterned paper I downloaded from ArcSoft Print Creations.  First time I tried it, and was very pleased with it.

I cut out my little turkey using the Create A Critter cart.  I used stickles on his hat for a lit' pop.
Added a few buttons with some twine.

I cut out the pumpkin using Create A Critter as well.  The sentiment was cut using Gypsy Wanderings.

Paper Playtime-technique I love: using my cricut!

Fantabulous Cricut #36 A-Choo

Good Morning Everyone!
Hope you all had a fantabulous weekend!  This weeks challenge at Fantabulous Cricut, your challenge is to create a project having to do with being sick (i.e. get well card, band-aid, "flu-bug", etc.).

Perfect timing too. It seems like everyone is coming down with something lately.  My husband was the inspiration for this project.  He has had a terrible cough for the last 2-3 weeks. Thankfully it is nothing serious, but he has been living on cough drops.  So, I made him this cute container filled with cough drops! He loved it!! Hope you do too!!

I used Create a Critter for the whale and the crab.

The sentiments are computer generated.   There is a cart that has these exact sentiments, but I don't own it yet 8(
I did order it though. It is the Just Because Cards Cart.
The tags are cut using Gypsy Wanderings.

The dots I embossed using my Sizzix Texture Plates.
I cut out the waves using the Life is a Beach cart.

The clear container I found at Michaels and then just filled it up with some cough drops.

Be sure to head on over to FCCB and enter your own A-Choo themed project for a chance to win this week's prize!  Have a great week everyone and good luck!!

Happy Thanksgiving

Hey Everyone, I hope you guys are all having a great week so far.

This week I made a layout which is actually my First Love.  I started out making scrapbook pages and layouts.  Funny thing is, I started out doing digital pages first, then fell in love with the traditional paper, cut and paste way of scrapping.  So I definitely enjoyed making this page.  I really should work on my scrapbooks more.....but so little time!!!

Anyways, hope you guys like it....

I made the tags with Tags,Bags & more cart.
The sentiments I cut out using Gypsy Wanderings.
The ribbon is from Martha Stewart

I cut out my lit' guy with  Create A Critter. I love that cart!!

My heading I cut out using Cuttin' Up cart and the cardstock is DCWV Amber Autumn

These cute leaves I cut out with my Marvy Uchida punch/embosser.  I've had this punch for a while and had not used it.  I love how it embosses the leaves and I just added some more dimension by using my ink pads.

CHALLENGES:

I hope you are all staying warm out there! Thanks for coming by 8)

Stocking Surprise!

Happy Friday Everyone!!

Well I guess it's still Thursday for me.  I got home tonight around 9 from my softball games ( I had two).  I came home all energized that I started this card.  Before I knew it, it is 2:30 in the morning.  Ayayay, I hate when I do that.  But when you are in the ZONE, you are in the ZONE!!!! LOL.

So I had never done an all white card before.  One of the challenges I'm submitting this for called for it.  It was a little bit of a challenge, but I definitely enjoyed it.

This cute lit' stocking mouse is from Karen's Doodles.  I used Gypsy Wanderings for the cut just behind him.
Also used Joys of the Season for my snowflake and holly.  My star shaped gems are from Darice. So cute!

I used my Copics to color and stickles for all the white on the stocking and the hat.  My ribbon is from Craft Essentials.

My sentiment is from Hero Arts Stamps. Again used stickles on the edges of the tag.

Here you can see all the layers I used.  The embossing I made with my Sizzix Christmas texture plates.

Challenges:

I also want to thank everyone for your sweet comments! I love hearing from you guys.
Have a great weekend everyone 8)

Election Day

Hi Everyone, I hope everyone is having a great week so far.  I haven't posted since Sunday, and for some reason it just seems like ages ago!!

Anyhow, this card I had been thinking about for a while.  It was inspired by Crafting With Cristina's challenge which was to make something patriotic.  I don't know what I was thinking but completely missed the deadline 8(

Good news is, that there are actually plenty of challenges I can still submit it too.  I wanted to make this card regardless.  The digi I used from Whimsy Stamps is just absolutely adorable!!  And in the spirit of the elections we just had, here it is....

I used Designer's Calendar cart for "Election Day", Tags Bags & more for my tag, and Beyond Birthdays for my stars.
My cardstock is from DCWV-The Summer Glitter Stack

I used Copics on my cute lit' guy and used glitter on the stars and swirls all around him.

The cute ribbon is from Holiday Inspirations which I got at Joann's.

I used my stars with swirls embossing folder from Sizzix for this part. I love the deep embossing that I got. It just "pops"!!
Embossing is my favorite technique right now 8)

Challenges:

Thank you for visiting! Have a great rest of the week everyone!!

Fantabulous Cricut #34-Bird Bonanza

Good Morning Everyone.  Hopefully you are not too tired from the Halloween weekend!

For this weeks Challenge me Monday from Fantabulous Cricut the theme was to create a project using something having to do with a bird (bird cage, owl, bird,etc.).

For this card, I had been wanting to try using heat embossing (i know, i'm just starting to use this technique) for a while now.  I hadn't really found the right project to do it on until now.  The other thing I wanted to use was the colored embossing markers I found at Joann's the other day.

I used Create a Critter cart for my lit' guy and Tags, Bags, Boxes cart for my tag.
The flower stamp is from Heidi Grace and the Thank You stamp is TPC Studio.
The colored embossing markers are from Wet Looks.

Be sure to head over to FCCB and enter your own Bird theme project for a chance to win this week's prize!!  Have a great week everyone 8)
