CricutCircleChallenge-Technique Challenge

Hi Everyone!
I hope you all had a great weekend.  I had a wonderful weekend because I decided not to do anything today... but CRAFT!!!! So it couldn't have been any nicer 8)

So as many of you know, I love to make these canvases.  I'd been meaning to make one of my middle son, Derek for a while now. I decided today was the day and I would also enter it into the current CricutCircleChallenge!!
All week long, they have been showcasing different techniques and the challenge was to use one of them on our projects.

I used the technique showcased by Michele Kovack on how to use Copic markers for shading and adding dimension.  Here is my project...

I used a 12x12 canvas which I bought at Joann's.
I love to hang these up.  I just think they are much more personal and fun than using a picture frame.

This cute little monkey is from Life's A Party Cricut Cartridge.
I used the Copic markers to add shading and some fur.  I know its hard to see because of the dark brown, but I was really happy with the way it looks.  I used the rag/Copic technique to add some color to his face, ears, hands & feet.  Also added some shading to the leaves.  This lit guy was cut at 2.5".

This pretty patterned ribbon is from Ribbon Offray (@Joann's).
The wooden tag (& wooden stars) are from Favorite Findings-Tags, Simple Stars (@Joann's).
I cut out the "cute" sentiment using Alphalicious Cricut Cart.

Derek's name I cut using Disney Pooh Font (Marker Shadow).

This picture I put on 4x4 coaster by Clear Scraps.
I added some rub-on stickers and epoxy stickers.
I used a hole punch on the side to tie the different ribbons.
Isn't his lit' foot just the cutest thing!!!

Thank you all for coming by. I hope you all have a great week! I can't believe it's August tomorrow!! Yikes. Where does the time go??
