ReplyDeleteThanks for joining us at Clear It Out
How cute! Love that card. I haven't opened my cart yet either! But am dying to find time to make something. I have the same trouble with embossing. I get all those little spots of powder and I use a de-static pad. The last time I tried embossing, I was using shimmer paper which is real smooth, and it worked! No spots! So not sure if that's the total secret, but it sure seemed to help. I'd like to know too how to make it work better on regular card stock.--Pat N.
ReplyDeleteYour card is adorable! I use an anti-static bag. I bought mine at Michael's over the weekend and it works fabulously! Hope that helps.
ReplyDeleteI use one of those little anti static embossing bags too. I got mine from SU, I think it might be called an embossing buddy or something. It works great! Your card is super cute :) TFS
ReplyDeleteYour card is sooo cute!! :)
ReplyDeleteCute card! I love that you added the eyes and smile to the skunk. That's one of my favorite cartridges!

ReplyDeleteSuch a cute card! I just love this cartridge. Love the face on the sun as an added touch. Thank you for playing with us at Paper Playtime!
ReplyDeleteI really like this cute card Elsa. Your whole scene is amazing. I suggest using an 'ULTA FINE' white embossing powder. White is notorious for clumping and spotting unless you get either 'ultra fine' or 'DETAIL WHITE'.
ReplyDelete(Another way would be to use white ink and a clear embossing powder). Hope this helps.
Thanks for playing along with us at Peachy Keen. Good luck!
This is too stinkin' cute!! I love the little scene you created. Thanks for linking up this week at My Craft Spot.

This is so cute, Elsa! I'm glad you got to play with your cartridge. The skunk looks so happy!
ReplyDeleteSometimes, I use a Q-tip to gently brush the spots before heating embossing powder. I can't see any spots though - so it looks good to me!
Thanks so much for playing along at My Craft Spot!
